Nestle Waters Invitational

The Bradley Central Cross Country teams opened up their season this past Saturday at the Nestle Water Invitational in Macon County, Tennessee. Even though neither boys nor girls sent enough runners to score as a team, there were some very promising individual performances turned in.

The boys were led by freshman Paul Patterson who ran his first ever high school race in an impressive 18:00 to earn a 9th place finish. Following Petterson was junior Jake Curtis who finished in 19:52 (44th). Rounding out the boys was senior Jessie Garret who ran a 22:59(82nd).

The girls were led by senior Jacquelin Pitcock who finished 2nd in a time of 21:29. Pitcock's time would have been faster but the four lead girls were sent the wrong way at one point in the race and had to turn around and go back. Following Pitcock was Andrea Spencer. The senior multi-sport athlete finished 8th place in a time of 22:15. Rounding out the girls was senior Megan Pace who finished 18th with a time of 23:46.

The Next Race for teh Cross Country teams will be September 12th at Mocassin Bend in Chattanooga.
